EnviroGrants for Teachers Terms & Conditions
Teachers at elementary, middle and high schools in the United States are eligible to apply. Each week, we will award one grant of $100 to one teacher to help cover the winning project’s cost.
Conservingnow.com is pleased to announce that we are currently accepting grant proposals from elementary schools, middle schools and high schools in the United States for the establishment or enhancement of a sustainability “go green” grant in the applicant teacher’s classroom. The grant amount is $100 per teacher’s classroom. Grants are given in the form of a VISA Gift Card.
This Request for Proposal invites applications from teachers to be considered for funding. All applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis throughout each school year (August to June of each year).
Please submit a written proposal via the grant application available here on Conservingnow.com containing the required following information:
- The school’s name, address, phone, and e-mail contact information.
- A detailed description of the “project(s)” to be implemented in the classroom.
- A detailed description of the direct/indirect benefits that the children in your classroom will receive as a result of the project(s) and how the grant will help increase your students’ awareness of the environment.
Priority will be given to projects that include the following criteria:
- Provide measurable, long-term environmental outcomes
- Offers opportunities to educate the children on being more sustainable and earth-friendly
Proposal Due Date: Applications accepted on a rolling basis.
Applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year. Teachers only need to apply once per school year. Applications will remain under consideration for a grant award during that school year.
Once the grant is awarded, we will require that the teacher sign an acceptance letter and agree to provide within 30 days of project completion a short written summary (200 – 300 words) and two photographs (JPG files of 1-2MB) to be published on the Conservingnow.com website (without names and references to any children in the photographs). The Grant Acceptance Letter must be returned to Conservingnow.com within 5 days of the grant award notification, and payment will be processed within 5 days of receipt of the Grant Acceptance Letter.
All submissions will be evaluated by Conservingnow.com’s Co-Founders, Gayle and Meghan. The selection recommendations will be based upon the requirements listed above, and the clarity and completeness in which the Applicant responded to this RFP and our sustainability goals. Conservingnow.com retains complete discretion in final grant recipient selection. Applications will remain under consideration during the school year.
