ConservingNow at GreenPower Teacher Training in Early 2011

The photos here were taken in Northern and Southern Nevada during the GreenPower Teacher Training programs in early 2011.

Attendees experienced a full day of environmental education and ConservingNow was a presenter. Our objective was to educate and introduce Nevada teachers to ConservingNow's free parent, teacher and school educational resources as well as demonstrating our interactive classroom kits.

GreenPower generously provided the funding for 50 classroom kits to be used during Earth Week.

What is GreenPower?

Since its inception in 2000, GreenPower has been a partnership between DRI, volunteer committee members, NV Energy, and their customers. Funded by the generosity of customers voluntarily adding a few dollars to their monthly electrical bill, 100% of the tax-deductible donations go towards renewable energy education in Nevada’s preK-12 schools.
